This recipe is sugar-free flour-free. It contains no sugar no flour and low carbohydrates.
4 medium tart apples
1 cup canned crushed pineapple in juice
1/2 cup quick oatmeal or regular oatmeal (not instant)
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees, Spray an 8X8 square baking dish with Pam non-stick cooking spray.
Put peeled sliced apples in the pan. Add canned pineapple, mushed banana and mix it all together.
In a small bowl, add the oatmeal and nutmeg and stir well.
Put the oatmeal mixture on top of the apples.
You may, if you want, spray the top of the crisp with cooking spray or olive oil spray but I didn't find it made much difference.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the topping is starting to brown.
Serve warm or cold. Total this would be 6 servings of fruit. For Cea HOW premix and measure out 1 C and cook with 1/4 C dry oatmeal...or your oat bran....sounds like a delicious breakfast!
